About Us
Amit Ghosh, while an Information Systems faculty at UTEP, began this technology journey by serving the needs of the art community. As co-founder of BorderSenses (2000), an El Paso-based arts organization, he began to work on the website and management of the organization through technology. Amit also worked with his students on various technology-related community projects involving non-profit organizations. Student projects had its limits, and Amit’s ad hoc technology organization began to serve these needs. The variety of projects involved networking, databases, websites, and even custom programming. Over time, governmental, medical, and for profit groups were served by this group, loosely termed BST. It was being called in to support a plethora of projects! In 2011, BST El Paso (Bright Sol Tech El Paso, Inc.) has finally evolved into an institution in its own right. With a new team, renewed energy, and a brand new office, BST El Paso is ready to take on the technology needs of the community, at home and away.

The Team
Amit Ghosh
President/CEO
Amit enjoys programming, databases, and all aspects of the internet, but what gives him the most satisfaction is helping all types of businesses arrest the power of technology. Knowing the power of how information systems can evolve a business, he strives to make others realize this. “Bringing technology to business is what BST is all about,” he says.
He has been teaching in the IT field (both corporate and academic) for over 20 years, most notably at University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP), Clark University (Corporate Training), and Wentworth Institute (Boston). He also has a strong interest in the arts, serving as co-founder and Executive Director of BorderSenses, a literary arts group. He has earned a MSEE from Tuskegee University, AL, and a MFA (Creative Writing) from UTEP.
Robert Arellano
Lead Developer
Robert is a recent graduate in Information Systems from UTEP. He loves developing applications but can whip up some eye-catching designs as well. A lover of open source design, he is competent in .NET platforms as well. When he is not coding or day dreaming about his next big application, you can catch him drooling over a pixel perfect design.
Sebastian Smith
Business Development
Sebastian runs our business from the ground up. From easing the communication from our developers to our clients to scattering across the sun city finding wonderful projects we can always sink our teeth in. Sebastian has worked all over the area, has a solid systems foundation, and is finishing his degree in Information Systems from NMSU.
Agustine Pimentel
Marketing Coordinator
Agustine has been in marketing for over 10 years. Being involved with a local businesses in Juarez and helping them succeed with "Primetime Advertising". He familiarized himself with all the advantages that businesses have when they partake in effective marketing strategies. Agustine has a bachlors in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and Management. He also has a Master's in Business Administration with a concentration in Supply Chain Management. He has experiance in research topics in marketing and supply chain as well as in local issues such as border wait times and best practices for Human Resources. He also teaches at the Autonomous University of Chihuahua. He teaches Marketing Strategy and Research Methods in Business.
Angel Cancino
Marketing Representative
Angel always enthusiastically pulls resources, people, and information together to keep our clients happy. Hardly ever taking no for an answer he helps make our company grow every day. He is also a MBA student at UTEP’s College of Business Administration.
Matthew Bustamante
Developer
Matthew loves computers period. His passion started out early as he crimped RJ45’s through his early years. Now he is code lover and can bake some well-formed applications. When he is not bragging about how he refuses to use a Mac he is usually wired into his .NET environment. Mathew is a student of Information Systems at UTEP.
Jorge Zuverza
Developer
Jorge is our newest developer and is proficient in various platforms such as PHP and .NET. He is currently a Computer Science student at UTEP.
Josias Castorena
Designer
Josias performs tasks related to the graphic aspects of websites, advertisements and applications for our clients. His designs are well thought out and outstanding in their ability to communicate the desired message and audience. He is a current study of Art History at the University of Texas at El Paso.
